Sure Start is a national initiative which provides services for parents to use and/or families with children under the age of 4 years.
These services are home visiting, support to families and parents including parents-to-be, support for good quality play, learning and childcare experiences, advice about child health and development, support for parents with special needs and additional services whcih would help parents and pre-school children in the community.
Already some early services are being developed in response to the information that has been received from families in the Hemsworth, Kinsley & Fitzwilliam areas.
