The Kinsley and Fitzwilliam Community Resource Centre is a multi purpose centre for community use. The building, which stands on the site of the former Kinsley First School was opened in September 2000 and was funded by the National Lotteries Charities Board, RECHAR and Yorkshire Forward.
The project began when a group of volunteers from the local community identified the need for an education and training facility in the local area. The group, The Kinsley and Fitzwilliam Community Resource Centre Management Committee secured the necessary funding and turned the former school into the state of the art centre it is today.
The centre now boasts a fully resourced I.T suite, complete with a wide range of assistive technology, managed workspace units, crèche, café, classrooms, sports and community hall, beauty & complementary salon and also provides full conference and meeting facilities at competitive rates. There are excellent road and rail links, secure car parking and it is easily accessible from all surrounding areas.
On offer at the centre is a wide range of education and training courses. . The courses range from, the latest in computing qualifications, to Line Dancing, VTCT Complementary Courses and City and Guilds Beauty Therapy & Nail Services.
